She was the "music teacher" in many of the parish schools in both the Archdiocese of Hartford as well as the Bridgeport Diocese. Sister Reginald was a musician, and her entire active religious life was spent in one form or another of music education. Joseph on October 2, 1927, and made her perpetual profession of vows on August 23, 1933. Born in Ansonia, on August 10, 1907, Sister Mary Reginald was a daughter of the late Wilfred John Dupree and Mary Katherine McNamara. Sister was 96 years of age and was in the 76th year of her Religious life. Joseph Health Care Center located at the Convent of Mary Immaculate, West Hartford. Memorial donations may be made to the Sisters of St. Relatives and friends may call at the convent on Tuesday from 3-6 p.m. from the Convent Mary Immaculate, 27 Park Rd., West Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. Her funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 8:45 a.m. Sister was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Walter Osborne and two brothers-in-law, Russell Patterson and James Davidson. She is also survived by a brother, Wilfred Dupree of Seymour. In addition to her Sisters in Community, Sister Reginald is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Patterson of Seymour, Catherine Davidson of Louisville, KY, and Loretta Nasinka and her husband Michael of Seymour. Some of these same students themselves went on to become piano teachers, and remained loyal and faithful friends of Sister Reginald, visiting her whenever they could. There are countless numbers of piano students across the state who can claim Sister Reginald as the one who imbued them with a love for the piano. During all this time Sister was also busy as a piano teacher. The last 15 years of her classroom career were spent at Our Lady of Sorrows School in Hartford. It was not unusual to hear Sister Reginald sing her greeting to the students as she entered a classroom, fully expecting that they would match her tone and greet her in like manner.
